modmic 5 causes cancer??

cl4nk

I was looking at the ModMic 5 on newegg and it says "This product can expose you to chemicals including one or more listed chemicals which are known to the State of California to cause cancer or birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information, go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov"

Anyone know what this means and if it is anything I should worry about?

In case you haven't noticed, that warning label is on literally everything that might be sold in california.

You can safely ignore it.

Also make sure to avoid contact with other Californians, they also cause cancer. The state itself is on a path to be removed from the US of A to safely float as it's own independent, cancer free society in the middle of the ocean.

Everything causes cancer. As long as you don't eat the microphone you'll be just fine.

And if you're contemplating eating a ModMic then you probably have bigger issues than cancer causing chemicals.

You missed a great opportunity to say that California would be removed from the US like a cancerous tumor.

Shure microphones have the same notice that is because chrome is a carcinogen when ingested so if you don't eat your microphone you should be fine.

Haha I assure you that the ModMic will not cause cancer anymore so than every other piece of electronics you encounter.

Though it's true, do not eat your ModMic. Specifically because it contains powerful magnets and magic. The magic is unknown as far as effect, but eating a magnet is EXTREMELY dangerous. It also contains zero nutritional value.

As the old saying goes. Eat 1 magnet, 3 days later you'll be ok. Eat 2 magnets, 3 days later you'll be in the hospital or dead.

(Ok that isnt an old saying, or any saying, but its basically true).

You know what causes cancer? Apple. Jk :P

But seriously an apple a day gives you cancer, hooray

“It would seem that Our Lord finds our desires not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased.”
