LOL, never happening.

He'd be better off buying an UW monitor and a barebones kit, a PCIe extender, a SFXL power supply, a GPU, and just mount it on the back of the VESA mount and then create a cover for the back of the monitor to cover up the components. Would end up saving money in the end too. Then stick a Bluetooth speaker inside of it LOL.

Are there any contenders (at any price range)?

These would be my loose guidelines for what a perfect AIO would be like.

No bezels, adjustability, good speakers, good built-in mics, full HD webcam, low noise, proper ventilation, wireless mini keyboard and mouse.

For creativity and general use:

8K 36" IPS Display

i7-7700T w/ GTX 1070 GPU

32 GB RAM

1 TB SSD + 4 TB HDD

For gaming, same but 1440p 34" Ultrawide144 Hz IPS display instead.  GTX 1080 Ti w/ 16 GB RAM.

PC Build: R5-1600.  Scythe Mugen 5.  GTX 1060.  120 GB SSD.  1 TB HDD.  FDD Mini C.  8 GB RAM (3000 MHz).  Be Quiet Pure Wings 2.  Capstone-550.  Deepcool 350 RGB.

Peripherals: Qisan Magicforce (80%) w/ Gateron Blues.  Razer Naga Chroma.  Lenovo 24" 1440p IPS.  PS4 Controller.

Audio: Focusrite (Solo, 2nd), SM57, Triton Fethead, AKG c214, Sennheiser HD598's, ATH-M50x, AKG K240, Novation Launchkey

Wishlist: MP S-87, iPad, Yamaha HS5's, more storage

No 8K AIO now, not even many if any 8K displays.  And WHY ONLY a 1070?

also, at 36 inches that would be really pixel dense.
