Nottingham teenager furious after paying £450 for a photo of an XBox One on eBay

Gunzkewl

Gonna set the kid up with some dead rising 3?

WTF this guy is retarded. Doesn't he know video games are cool now and he shouldn't pretend it wasn't for him.

Your four year old son really wants that day one version of the xbone. That aspect is super important to him.

When you introduce a kid that young to gaming, you get them something a couple of gens old that can be found for cheap like an N64 with tons of games. This idiot probably used the kid as an excuse to justify getting the Xbone for himself.

Also, "computer console " bothers me.

Seems like 3 people fell for the same trick by the same seller

Edit: Tried clicking on it. Doesn't work. So I searched by item ID and low and behold "This item is unavailable" meaning the seller is in a lot of trouble haha

While unethical, the seller did nothing illegal. This dude is a grade A dummy.

its the oldest scam on eBay.  eBay have added rules specifically because of these scamsers.

but you are right that it not illegal so long as the seller does return the money then it become illegal.

TBH I always read listings carefully because pricks like this exist, but still no matter how stupid this guy is the listings are obviously put there to trick people and for that reason I'd refund people and ban the sellers.

It's not illegal but if I was eBay I wouldn't want that behaviour on my auction site as it's bad for business reputation and I would get rid of it where I found it.

Horribly. I'm ashamed to be 15 now. I'm ashamed to be born in the same decade, century, millennium, etc, and PLANET as this guy.

Not yet. Wait 5 or so years. ;) Charlie Sheen (he played Charlie Harper) off of Two and a Half Men, maybe?
