More fields in 'System' on profile

kagarium

As the title suggests, could more fields be added to the system section of the profiles?

Mainly for those of us with laptops. There's nowhere really to write what model laptop you own, or to even specify that you have a laptop and not a desktop.

And what if you have a laptop and desktop? Could two system areas be added? (One for desktop, one for laptop, each with slightly different fields to fill out)

What laptop you have? Old one? The last laptop i was able to upgrade the CPU on was a Dell Latitude D630 from I think 2007

Laptop model would be enough

2017 15" MacBook Pro with Touchbar.

Real descriptive.

Especially when you can have:

8 or 16GB of RAM

256 or 512GB or 1TB or 2TB of storage

Intel HD 630 or Radeon Pro 555 or Radeon Pro 560

7700HQ or 7820HQ or 7920HQ

All falling under that model.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

The blood is on your hands!

How many people care about desktop?

Inherently nothing. It's a reference to an old, obscure spin off to an anime.

It's a Di Gi Charat spin off. If you cannot figure it out from that, I cannot help any further.

To really do it properly you'd have to have something like a drop down beside system

Capture.PNG.9d0ca457823b7337063ad0e4f88fc087.PNG

And then all the fields would show the specs for that system, and you could add multiple ones.

But that would be a pretty major overhaul and I wouldn't expect it to be possible or worth the effort.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

You have an "About Me" section, a signature and a biography section, so there's plenty of room to put other information about your system. We don't want the system section to turn into hundreds of fields of possible things that people could possibly have, so it's just focussed on your main PC.

good answer, if you have a laptop as your main system just put the specs of the laptop in there instead. it would be nice with a name part or something though, where you can have your build name or laptop model, i dont think one more bar is too much tbh

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)
