Best version of GT 1030?

Currently planning a super budget build cause GT 1030 prices ranges from $70 to $90 dollars online in my place. Haven't checked out retail prices though. Thanks in advance.

Things i consider:

-cooling system

-vram

-brand

 

P.S. My case is not low profile

GT 1030's wont be that much different as its the same core but would be better to get a fan cooled one for best performance. Would look used if you can though, or push for a 1050/RX 550.

Literally get the cheapest. It doesn't matter whatsoever since the 1030 is very easy to cool.

I'd just buy the cheapest one.

 

1. There's passive cooling (no fan, just heat sink) or active cooling (with fan). Which one to go for depends on cooling of your case. This card is easy to cool with only 30W TDP.

2. They all come with 2GB GDDR5, whether you like it or not.

3. It's hard to screw up in a cheap card like this... As usual, large brands you have heard of.

 

Just get a 750ti if you want to lower the cost.

Why bother buying a GT 1030? 

 

Just get the cheapest one, all cards are roughly the same with the 2GB's of GDDR5 and passive cooling.

Please don't buy a GT1030, they're very low performance for the money.  Really, you'd be better off buying a "previous generation" card from eBay or other places.

 

If you want new, aim for a RX 550 or a GTX 1050

To be honest you would be much better off getting a used 1050 or a 750Ti. The 1030 is quite a terrible card for the money.

The GT1030 usually comes in 2GB GDDR5 variants and some of them are passively cooled only with the heatsink, fan cooled would be better for keeping temps low, well since it has a low TDP, it is generally easy to cool. You could get a 750ti within that price range or you could look more towards the used market. The GT1030, from what I have seen, does well in esports games (prior to which settings the game is set at) such as CSGO and rocket league, but when it comes to a more demanding game such as overwatch where there is more intensive action, it does struggle in that case.
