Budget Upgrade For GTA

g0rdn

Hey everyone, I am looking for upgrades for my computer so I can run GTA V smoothly, I usually get 30 FPS which is fine, but I want to improve it. I am looking for a CPU and Motherboard upgrade, with a budget of $200. I use DDR3 Ram. I have provided some pictures of my current build. Thanks everyone!

Ryzen 3 with a compatible mobo would do great. Will give you about a 30+ fps increase. (so around 60 fps minimum and around 100 fps max)

EDIT: DDR3 isn't compatible with any AM4 mobos so.... :/

EDIT #2: if you're willing to buy DDR4 ram, that would be great. costs around 50 dollars (maybe less, just an estimation).

"May your frame rates be high and your temperatures low"

I misread titles/posts way too often--correct me if I don't.

Some information on the GPU please? Don't wanna bottleneck the CPU because of the GPU. It's all about the balance..

What GPU and monitor are you using?

For GTAV, you're going to want an i5 or R5 for best performance. But if you have a crap GPU, this will mean very little.

For that GPU and assuming you are gaming in 1080p. I might go with something like an i5 or i7 if possible from 4000 series or below, used if you want to for the best price to perfomance.
