Ive decided on the 980, but i need assurance that i can run many triple a games at 1080p for the next 2 years.

If you're no ultra freak yes the 980 will suffice very nicely, a 980ti would be ideal, but either should prove to be more powerful than a 1060 regardless.

mostly just call of duity this year (looks good) and battlefield 1. I have a i7-2600k.
