Do something about status update notifications!

When replying to a status update, it automatically makes you "follow" said status update, so you get a notification every time someone posts there. that's annoying enough, since there's no way to unsubscribe that I know of, but what's worse IMO, and could be easily fixed, is the fact that these notifications aren't grouped. screenshot attached.

maybe it could be like normal posts, where the notification can say "XX, YY, ZZ, and 5 more replied to a ABC's status update"

I'll have to double check however as far as I know, notification stacking isn't supported by the software.

It's supported in general, but not for statuses at the moment despite numerous requests to IPS.

Couldn't the notification be disabled altogether apart from when being tagged? that'd somewhat resolve it and usually when you do want to address to someone you tag either ways.

Yes, it's in your notification settings.
