Yeah I'm still happy to provide the green's for HDD replacements in clients laptops. Never had many issues with the Sandisk stuff. 

Most Sandisk stuff is fine but the SSD PLUS is really slow for an SSD and also has a bunch of different manufacturers that sell the parts for them and quality varies. Not a fan.

From our supplier our options are WD Green 240, Apacer AS 340 or most expensive Kingston A400, can maybe push for us to stock Kingston UV400.

hahaha I know.. this is the issue, those are our options and out of all the evils we doing the Greens as we have had good response from them.

Why no PNY CS1311 or other good options that are relatively inexpensive?

its New Zealand, We get such tiny amount of stock from our suppliers, as the guys who do bring in the good stuff are suppliers and Retailers (No Laws against it here) so they undercut us. Those are the few our suppliers can get after that the prices go up, We mainly do the samsung Evo's for the guys who want performance, we use these for failed HDD's in laptops and such.

Also, at this budget you should have an SSD, it will make your system feel SO much snappier, just a thought.

Actually, the current model 2TB (ST2000DM006) and 3TB (ST3000DM008) versions of the BarraCuda are also 7200 RPM.  Here is the spec sheet.
