$1600 CAD Build for my brother (NOW $1.5k)

Did you read every single comment in this? Did I forget to mention that the budget might be extended $50-75, but still TBA.

Did you clearly READ what my post said?

The computer builds that YOU have suggested are wayyyy over budget and you're OK with that, but calling other people's computer builds that are either done at the same price or cheaper "WAYYYY OVER BUDGET" doesn't make one iota of sense.

Explain yourself.

No, you don't understand.

I asked for $1500-$1575 after the Ontario 13% HST tax. Which if you do the math, it's around $1350-$1390 before taxes. Do you understand? Just trying to be on the same page.

$1423.67 x 1.13 = $1608.75

Look at YOUR computer builds as shown above. You're not even accounting for the tax crap in your computer builds, but yet you have no problem blasting other people's computer builds if they are at similar or lower pricing.

You still have NOT explained yourself.

Did I forget to disclose that on PcPartpicker. If you have an account, you put the tax on your account. Just click the god damm links and find out for yourself.

The recent build has this on the bottom:

Base Total:$1397.84

Tax:$181.63

Total:$1579.47

EDIT: Please look at this part of PCPartpicker text thingy: Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Just because PCPartPicker puts that disclaimer in every computer build, YOU and only YOU are 100% responsible for obtaining the EXACT cost of your computer build.

Prices change daily... sometimes in matter of hours... it's IMPOSSIBLE for anyone in Linus Tech Tips forums to give you an EXACT final cost due to the ever changing pricing that is always happening.

So... stop your whining and realize that no matter what... YOU ARE STILL RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FINAL COST OF YOUR COMPUTER BUILD... not us!!

You asked this forum for assistance and you were given that assistance. If you don't like the assistance that is given to you on someone else's time, you have a serious problem.

If you are expecting people from the internet to give you the exact final price (with taxes and all) on a computer build... I do wish you the best of luck!

You need to stop including sales tax in your builds. People from around the world participate and it is asking way too much to expect them to factor in YOUR tax rate.

Remove your tax rate in pcpartpicker. That way what you post will be easily comparable with others. Also forget about tax included budgets. Calculate a before tax lbudget and post that. If you need help with the math, just ask.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
