I think my cooler is stuck to my CPU

guus397

I got my parts for my new pc so I put it together and put the stock cooler on it with heat paste on it from the factory. some time later I waned to install a new cooler, but when I loosened all screws and tried to lift it it kept stuck and I saw all the screws fiscally lose, so it is the heat paste I have a pga socket.

I have already tried it when the system is warmed up and when it is fully cooled down, it feels like if I pull harder it is going to pop out of the socket. does anyone has some idea or tip what to do with this.

Twist it as you take it off. And yes if you pull straight it will pop off lol. Warm it up and then turn it off and immediately twist.

They shouldn't, don't twist harder than you think you should. It's a common issue and people always say to twist. But definitely warm it up by doing something a little more than booting the system. If you want I can Google for you.

Just don't do anything that you think is too much.

True. But it'll probably get high in a few seconds when you're in windows anyways. But yes monitor the temps

Whats the paste you used for it to be this bad? Paste shouldnt stick unless you exceed their junction temps.
