How is this for a prebuilt system?

Just now, RadiatingLight said:

True, but it's easier if it comes with an SSD.

if it fits in the budget, why not?

New egg always has sales on ssd's for relatively cheap prices, if he really wants he can get a 240gb ssd - 500gb ssd for around a cool 70-150usd

(my post was eaten during the merge I guess.)

Make sure you get the EVGA 750GQ - 80 PLUS Gold , it seems to be the cheapest decent power supply there, the default one looks like a Cooler Master Elite series, which are awful and are pretty well known to die after a few weeks

If you want an SSD, (I recommend one atleast.) buy your own. the selection here is horrible and kinda overprice, like everything else.

Decent. Why not build your own though? You could get Ryzen instead of an i5 (which only have 4c/4t).

It's an okay deal. For the same price, you could build a solid PC, with a better CPU and maybe GPU.

everyone here is going to tell you that a prebuilt is bad.. not always the case, if it were me I'd go with the prebuilt. This pcpartspicker list is not bad, but I can tell you the keyboard and mouse is absolute trash(I have it) and the only thing really superior is the gpu(1060 6gb vs 1050ti 4gb). I'd say you aren't getting an awful deal.. but still, building is fun so in some cases it is worth it.

The cyberpower mouse isn't looking better and this list is 60 cheaper which leaves enough room for even a mechanical keyboard and semi decent mouse

I agree, the cyber mouse isn't much better, however the cooler master is an absolute waste of money. I've been through 3 sets, they all felt like trash(far worse than manufacture membrane keyboards) and broke after about 2-3 weeks of moderate use(4-6 hours a day gaming and work flow stuff). I'd rather my computer sit unused while I save for a mouse/keyboard than buy that pos again xD and I'm not usually that picky with products.

Pre-builts especially from reputable builders are not bad. Consider that you get a warranty and if you are not comfortable putting it together it gets you a custom system w/o the risk of building yourself. That's the advantage of something like what the OP listed.

Also with the price of Graphics Cards and Memory right now the larger buyers have at least some advantage in ability to actually get parts for their builds. Several times lately I have put together suggested build and had the Graphics Cards or Memory either disappear or raise the price of the build by $50-100 after I sent the suggestion, putting it out of the buyers price range.

So, having said all of that this system doesn't look bad, adding something like a GTX1060 would raise the price noticeably due to GC prices. But would give you better performance if you can afford it. I would probably go with a R5 1600 rather than a 1600X and overclock the CPU as you can get the same performance out of the 1600 if it is overclocked, then put the price diff into the GPU or a SSD if one is available as an option.

Did you really need 2 threads for this? I get it's a different builder, but you can/should use the same thread.

Anyway, same response that I had there. $950+ for a Ryzen 5 1600X and a GTX 1050 Ti w/ out a SSD is a hard pill to swallow.

The cooler master combo, the mouse is actually OKAY, much like a manufacture provided mouse that lights up so no real complaints there aside from cheap feeling clicks, not much feedback.

The keyboard was where all the issues were, at first it was fine and was actually impressed with the quality(prolly me just telling myself I got a good deal, idk) the space bar was completely gone in the first week, off balance and only responded some of the time. The other times random keys would just randomly stop working or would get stuck, over super cheap feel. The one I currently have has a few keys that just simply don't work, and the LED backlight has really annoying hotspots, dark areas and well lit in others, just issues all around and I've had it replaced twice(I'm on my third) and gave up after that, I now use a steel series mechy, worth the money.
