That's becasue the battery on the S7 sucked. It was only 2,600mah while the S7 edge had 3600mah. S8+ is 3500mah, which is the same as the Note 7

What do you consider good battery life, and what do you do most on your phone? Some phones get excellent wifi browsing and shit video playback, some get excellent video playback and shit browsing, etc etc.

In order to get a really good guess what what's best for you, you need to elaborate more when you make a post ;)

Though, the S8+ really is likely your best bet. Or wait for the Note8, which should be considerably better and still within your budget. There's also the Essential PH-1, which hasn't been properly reviewed yet and might be just as good.

You must have had a really bizarre S7.

Sony phones are meh. Though they're releasing a new line in Sept so maybe they'll really nail it. They really need to sort their fingerprint sensor issues in North America.

Yeah, if the Pixels had dual front facing speakers, no lens flare issues and an IP rating it would surely be much higher on the list nowadays :P.

True, but the Xperia phones bezels arent very small either xD, but at least have front facing speakers to make up for that which i absolutely love.

But if the Pixel XL is being built by LG, i got hope and surely Google wouldnt leave the regular pixel with a standard aspect ratio either.

pretty much, i get atleast a day of use(7am-11ishpm), charges pretty quick, screens good, retina scanner is pretty decent, not keen on the location of the fingerprint

bixby is lacking, camera is good, IP68 rated

6.2" is plenty big whilst not feeling bulky in the hand, it feels better than the s7(i owned it also) only downside id say it kinda looks a little cheap :/ and the sides dont feel like metal
