Space Journal #1: So Apparently i  was dropped on the moon like i'm a mars rover, in a matter of hours i have found the transformers on the dark side of the moon. Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.

LMAO

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

As open-minded as Linus really honestly tries to be, even he forgets some of his tactfulness when he gets as tired as he was during that last WAN show. I think that's what a lot of people still lack even though they firmly "act" open-minded - tact.

Christmas is overrated for the most part. I like the concept and the time spent with family (mainly my boyfriend) but in all honesty, the commercialization is a bit much to say the least.

I guess I also look at it differently also, being an Atheist I can celebrate whatever I want and not have to believe it.

I will be observing Krishna's birthday next year :) just for fun I suppose :D

Explain...

I'll start by saying that I really appreciate how much Linus is openly defensive of women/gay rights. As for the tact comment, the thing that stood out the most to me during the last WAN show is when he started talking about the word "faggott" and said "not this kind of f word, but this kind of f word" or something like that. When he was referring to "f word" meaning faggot as a synonym for homosexual, he flaired his hand forward. "This kind of f word" *flair hand*. So he assumes that we'll all understand that he means gay when he flairs his hand forward. May not be a big deal, but that's kind of like saying "this kind of chink" and stretching the side of his eyes out to make the stereotypical "asian eyes".

Now I know he didn't mean anything offensive by it, so I didn't get offended. But there's outward vocalization of your intentions, and then there's the next level of support, which is where you don't have to force yourself to control your automated manuerisms. Maybe tact isn't the right word? I choose to use tact...

An existentialistic hurdydirdy spinning in a cycle of the low level internal psyche pertaining the everyday strains of humanity while quietly inspecting the inverse proportions of altruistic vulnerability.

People need to stop being hypersensitive, end of. One of my closest friends is gay and Chinese, funny how that kinda fits the examples listed. We call each other "faggot" all the time endearingly when one of us does something silly. "You faggot!" And not a single ounce of malice or hidden meanings, just two people who don't have skin thinner than that found on grapes.

Honestly, it bugs me when people fain being offended over something that isn't even targeting them while the target audience doesn't even care.

I agree, so long as people understand and accept that there are times (using common sense, if that exists) when one must curb their own tongue rather than just expecting others to "deal with it"

In this case I don't care, he doesn't seem to have offended his fan base which includes a fair ratio of homosexuals.

I think you're looking to much into it to be honest. I saw nothing wrong with what Linus said or did. In fact it made me giggle. I think they showed support.

honestly a lot of youtubers wouldn't have touched that topic with a ten foot pole, more people on YouTube are worried about offending idiots rather than defending those who need defended. I commend Linus for showing support in his own way. It's honestly not that big of a deal but it's good to know that Linus and Luke are pro LGBT.
