Even liquid nitrogen cannot cool that monster

yes it can, and very easily, even a water block could, as the heat density isn't much higher on epyc than it is on ryzen 7 due o the separation of the cores, all someone would need is a bigger waterblock

Will you at least have 512GB RAM clocked above 3600MHz ?

Oh no I can imagine CPU block already xD

Does Zenith Extreme have any m.2 ports cause I do not see any of them. (I am half blind, lost my left eye in car accident)

ASUS uses the "DIMM.2" get it? lol, get it?

it's an expansion slot the size a DIMM, that has M.2 on it to mount it like a RAM stick - their marketing says it helps to get airflow over them, it maybe can hold two on the expansion card, not sure...

Nope, too cheap for that.... Now that I think about it......................................

Spoiler

EPYC wouldn't be ideal for me xD

Spoiler

Meh, I will just see what X299 and Threadripper have to offer

Oh god. intel what u gonna do

exactly my thoughts :P

They need to rush out a half-baked plan for a 40 core now to compete xD

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Make CPU keys so if you want multi socket server/workstation you have throw another $1000-$2000 for multi socket support cause we decided to lock down chipset. We will also make that chipset cannot boot from regular drives. ONLY INTEL OPTANE AND INTEL's STORAGE DEVICES. And throw 80 core with HT with TDP od 500W.

You have so much pcie with Threadripper that even if you don't have a slot onboard you might as well throw some pcie cards in, you won't run out of lanes.

Devices:

Desktop(s): Main Rig | CPU: R7 1700x, Ram: 16GB, GPU: GTX 1070 Ti

Server(s): My Server

Laptop(s): Macbook Pro 13" (2015)

Phone(s): iPhone SE (64GB), Nokia Lumia 925

True true m8 but still I hope they don't start to use RAID key concept globally. I hope AMD kicks out some M.2 expansion card for PCI E x16 3.0 interface cause that will be awesome.

Add-in card with 4x nvme slots would be sick

why does AMD have to do that though? there's plenty of board partners and crazy people at OCZ and Patriot to do that

replace those NAND flash chips with M.2 slots and voila

No no no. 6 NVMe slots + fan that cools those SSD's and you have choice for all RAID's and it doesnt have hang up on motherboard about RAID types
