Intel - 6600K v 7700K

Thoughts?

Will be used for PC gaming & streaming. I currently have a 4790K with a 970 and streaming has been a hassle with some games. Don't think its the GPU, so.

If you could, please pair with a mobo and ram, price isnt an issue.

You want to upgrade from a i7 4790K to a i5 6600k/i7 7700K?

That isn´t a upgrade. Overclock your cpu a bit and you get more performance boost than by buying a 6600k/7700k

I don't wanna fuck with OCing

Why is streaming horrible then if it's fine? Makes no sense.

Are you realy sure that the GPU isn´t bottlenecking your system? If you have time, use a tool like Corsair Link and assure you that it realy is the CPU causing problems.

If you go for a new CPU go for a Ryzen 7, streaming profits from more cores.

6600k is a downgrade.

7700k is barely an upgrade, you would be basically just throwing money away.

There is many ways to setup streaming, maybe you would want to look into that first? What settings in OBS do you use if you have issues?

I use the exact same settings that my friend with a 6700K does and he streams perfectly fine. & my internet is fine, 15up, 100 down

Buying a 7700k is money wasting. Could also be a software issue or something else.

Btw, why did you buy a "K" CPU if you dont want to Overclock even a bit?
