Buying a RX graphics card.

Hello

I would like to buy a RX 580 but the availability for those is pretty bad. And I don't have a decent enough GPU I can use until I get my RX 580. But getting a RX 570 would be easier. Should I just get the 570 and call it a day or is waiting for the RX X580 worth it. The CPU will be a R5 1600.

I recommend waiting a couple of day, 2 weeks top and buy the 580. If you can't afford to wait, might as well get a 480, as they almost perform the same

I would say go for a 570, ideally it should last a couple years until you actually need something better.

depend's on where your from, but if you cant get the 580 in a month or more, buy the 570. that will also balance more with the R5 1600

The availability for RX 480 isn't better. Of yourse you can find RX 580s/480s but they cost way too much. I checked some of the websites to see when they will be in stock again and only one website I found actually gives me this information. Most of their RX 580s will be in stock in more then 3 weeks.

Then I'd wait for the RX580. Especially since Vega will be coming out sometime soon, so everyone will be ogling over those, and you can slip in and snag a 580 without a problem.

I could get a ASUS DUAL GTX 1060 6GB OC for about 244€ and the Strix one for about 278€. But I don't like the DUAL one since I really want to have a semi passive card and this isn't one of those as far as I know. And of course the RX 580 has other advantages as well.

570 is around 5-10% slower at worst . Depends on prices tbh.

Oh damn, well, either get the 1060 6GB (if you cannot wait), or wait a bit and get more out of your bucks with the 580. But they are all almost the same.

The main pros of the 580 are FreeSync, better compatibility with newer/future technologies, and more VRAM. It's up to you deciding whether it's worthwaiting or not.

RX 580 8GB vs RX 570 8GB isn't so different IMO while in older systems RX 570 8GB benefits from lighter GPU work than RX 580, correct me if I am wrong

I`d wait a bit, there`s not much difference between RX 570-580, same again with the RX  4xx, in a recent post I mentioned I thought the GTX 1060 would have been better than my Sapphire RX 480 Nitro+ and got told I was wrong almost instantly  waiting might seem like a pain now but 6 months down the line you don`t want to regret your decision especially as you`d like to have a little headroom going with the RX 580 over 570
