You'd be surprised how good this thing handles all of the stuff i throw at it, i can handle Arma 3 ultra 1080p at 30 fps even though it is a CPU based game it handles it pretty damn good, i am however planning to retire this tough little card and get an Rx 550

I have coincided a lot of cards for the collection, including those. But sadly I have a display cabinet that im setting up in my office and it can only hold so many cards. The 7950gx2 is tempting but if i had to get a card from that era it would be a 7900 GX2, the OEM and much rarer version.

So I was digging out my EVGA GTX 460 for @Modzy and found some other gems.

Galax GTX 560ti, Ati RADEON 9800 PRO, and... This?  EDIT: Nvidia GTS 240. They all work still.  Quite amazing considering their age.

Just a quick update, huge thanks to raultherabbit for the GTX 460 & 9800 Pro, I've also just bought a Geforce 7950 GX2 which is also on the way.

I'll also in the process of building my PCIE test system atm. It's going to be based on newer cpus i5 2400, but i want to eliminate CPU bottleneck when testing the GPUs.

Each time I get a new card for the collection is do a full disassembly, clean, polish & replace any old thermal pads. The 8800 GTS & 7950 GX2 arrive this week so they got this treatment today. I've now got the 7950 GX2 in my test system running benchmarks this afternoon.

Such a sweet idea. I was actually looking the other day for a 9600GT XXX Alpha Dog card in good condition - I still have the box and all the material and accessories, but the card was leant to a friend years ago and never got it back :(

My lineup would look really similar actually haha. First cards were a Voodoo Banshee with 2 x Voodoo II's in SLI, and had a range of Nvidia & AMD cards through the years since then. My first decent audio card was also the '98 Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 card (with my Cambridge SoundWorks DTT2200 speakers) as well

At least your not that guy at the party who started with a Matrox. haha

Yeah my collection was more impressive in the early years. then life and adult responsibilities take over and budgets change. You can see a switch from single high end to 2x mid range cards some where in my timeline.

raultherabbit your cards cleaned up very nicely. The GTX460 cooler was pretty choked full of dust. Took me over an hour to clean it, even had to disasemble the fan/motor to wash the fan clean. But worth it. Big thanks again for these. :)
