Help me decide my next laptop

I currently own a Macbook Air (2020) with a M1 chip. Main reason I went with Apple and not Windows is because of the battery life.

I've pre-ordered a ASUS Vivobook S 15 (S5507) with a Snapdragon X Elite because I want to switch back to Windows. Considering these cpus are ARM based, they should offer a good battery life. However, there have been speculations of Qualcomm fudging numbers and probably poor support on launch.

So I'm still in doubt whether I want to continue the pre-order or just get either of the two other options:

Option 1: Macbook Air M3 (8GB)

Only downside would be the 8GB ram

Option 2: ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED UX3402VA-KM157W (i7 1360P)

From what I can read on its product page, it has good specs and ASUS claims 18 hours of battery life. Is that possible on a i7 1360P? I know the tests are done on a local video, so the number doesn't really mean much when you're actually working on it. How efficient are these chips? I'm not really into Windows laptop and don't have much experience with them. And does it produce much heat during regular multitasking and medium load?

But you still want to upgrade from M1 to M3 ?

Why do you need a new laptop?
