I'll probably still game on my PC, but I might build a Steam Machine for the family.

If they integrate split screen play... I'd use it when friends come over no doubt.

I wanted to build one to use it like a console, and take it to friends' houses and stuff, because I dont want to drag my rig to everyone's house or wherever I travel.

It's going to be bumpy the first few releases but trust me its going to be awesome once its finally done. The way I see it all games will have to support controllers but mouse and keyboard might be optional. i really don't care is the mouse and keyvoard don't work because it's not a desktop replacement for gaming it is meant to replace consoles and be used in the living room not at a desk.

The only thing I was wondering about this is if valve will be selling this case. It's be terrible if you'd have to buy a system to get it, as the only thing I want it for is to build a PC with some leftover parts and some stuff on newegg in it. If valve doesn't sell this case standalone, does anyone know of a slim case that can fit a full-profile graphics card?

- Driver updates - they come out all the time, will they provide constant updates, beta or WHQL etc. The average user (assuming they buy one) won't really know how to do it themselves, however, this will probably all be handled by the OS
