What fans to use for a rad?

Hey guys,

Just a quick one.

What fans should I use, I've decided on Corsiar ones but do I get the AF120s or the SP120s

Thanks

for rad purposes always use static pressure fans.

So SP120s based on your selection. But I have heard that they are not that great, but I have never worked with them so...

You can use either. The AF will be quieter with less static pressure.

Sp - it stands for static pressure (af - airflow) which is required for more efficient cooling on radiators and helps the airflow overcome the resistance of the fans. The higher the DPI the more importing SP becomes.

They will work of course, but SP fans will work better - I used some enermax for a year but I had 2x 360mm + a 240 for a cpu, vrm and 2x 970's in dual loop

Get the ek vardar instead or the fractal Venturi. The Corsair SP fans aren't really that great.

Ive had the LPs, AFs and SPs- hell even some with LEDs and they get way too loud when the go over 850 - 900 compared to the competition. This is based on my own testing on a ek 240 coolstream XE. Didn't have testing gear but the app on my phone and my ears.
