Apple is overpricing stuff

I was at an apple store to pick up a mobile controller that was $25 on amazon. The cashier said $50 plz. Mistake #1. then, I did some research on the apple watch, and if you bought a 42mm apple watch from apple, that would be $400. If you bought the PARTS for an apple watch and put it together yourself (Don't do that unless you know who ifixit is), that would only be $84!

except for when I bought my iPhone, I basically stole one (but I didn't, I only paid ~$600 USD for one that was brand new unlocked)

I don't have an excuse for that controller thing..

 

The Apple Watch though, you don't just pay for the parts. You also pay for:

- Someone in Asia putting the thing together

- Someone putting an OS on it (which you probably legally can't yourself)

- The marketing

- Lots more I am too lazy to mention

How is this news?  the cost for apple  to build the Iphone 4s was 74 USD.  The 4s sold for 16GB for $199, 32GB for $299, 64GB for $399 respectively.  

 

The difference between the cost of each jump in storage for apple?  $2.50 for 32gb and $7 for 64GB
