550$ Pc build

Hi! My friend wants a pc but he only has 550$ for the pc and the peripherals too(he has a mouse). What do you recommend for a build? He plays rather potato games like CSGO, Skyrim and War Thunder, so I don't think the hardware needs to be too strong. Thanks in advance.

If you can rise the price to $600 you can get a better setup with a amd cpu.

I wouldn't recommend this. For relatively non-graphically demanding games you really don't need a Ryzen 5. Especially when paired with a 1050 Ti. If OP's friend does a lot of video editing or graphic design or something like that, a relatively high-power CPU + 1050 Ti might make sense, but not for games.

I'm not sure, he will only be doing gaming on it and maybe some schoolwork like a bit of photoshop.

I'm sorry for keep on changing but he sais the budget is around 650$...

That's true, actually. I scrap my earlier comment, especially given that the build I replied to has a 570, not a 1050. Derp.

Oh, for $650 then a Ryzen 5 is a definitely a good idea.

Does he already have a copy of Windows he can install? He could also do Linux, but Windows has way more games that run on it. (Building a Hackintosh is a whole other ball game and doesn't have a ton of game support.)

Nothing stops him from using Win10 without activation for a while, at least until he saves to buy the license.

That's good. Because if he was going to get a legit Windows key it would add $90 to the cost.

Well I am kind of sick of seeing the g4560 and it is possible to make a ryzen 5 build under $550, I would just switch the gpu to a 1050ti even if it has less power.

if you want you can invest in a 580 or a 480, either way there is no point in wasting money since he are playing games such as csgo and skyrim which arent really that graphical demanding. But that is the best build in my opinion.

It is but also costs more, also you should really avoid using dark fonts on your text formatting since users like me uses black themes and that makes it really hard to read:

2L53YWp.pngRegardless, the build is rock solid for its cost and I can really advise it.

One thing to note is that this build doesn't include a monitor or keyboard. A keyboard shouldn't be a problem – you can get good mechanical keyboards for around $30 these days and non-mechanical ones for under $10. However, a decent monitor is going to cost at least $100 new, or a bit less used (this one seems good). So, if you have a monitor (or even a suitable TV that you'd be willing to use as one), go for it! If not, I'd recommend this build, which sacrifices a bit of CPU power to make room for the monitor and keyboard.

oh lmao I just copied and pasted. I'll watch out next time. Also, how do I make it a dark theme?

Ok, I recommended him the Strafe because I bought a cheapo mechanical keyboard, wrong choice. Simply does not work, switches feel very different from the strafe I had before, and the lighting was just terrible. laggy and some of the leds won't produce certain colors. Waste of my money.
