is a 6950 worth 30$ ?

Hey guys just saw a listing on craigslist for a 6950 2gb for 30$ usd. is it worth it for me to upgrade from my 6870?

For 30 it's decent for sure, make sure it is a 2GB version minimum though.

I would be looking towards GCN anyway if going second hand, they are far superior at DX11 vs VLIW.

That was in USD, I paid $75 Canadian. Still though, people asking $100 are asking quite a bit.

the HD 6950 isn't GCN, it's on the old terascale architecture that isn't supported anymore.

Really? Most of the 7970/280x I have seen are priced at $100 CAD or higher. Even checking out eBay, anything that sells for/around $75 CAD is usually non-working or at best untested.

eBay is a horrible place to look for most things tech related, they're often horribly over priced.

Naturally every market is different. There were lots in Vancouver when I was looking. Hence why I got mine so cheap.
