Youtube Feather Beta

Notional

Hi Guys, if you haven't noticed, Youtube has launched a new Beta called Feather. It's designed to make loading and responsiveness a lot faster. It also deactivates voting and comments, making the entire system sleaker and faster. Try it out:

Edit: Seems like you CAN vote on feather too, my bad :)

Videos load slower for me compared to when I use an extension which disables dash playback (the ridiculous buffering system Youtube uses) with just regular Youtube. Install this, bros:

Doesn't necessarily disable voting, it just doesn't show the votes on the video. You can still up/down vote it. Feather is awesome too, just a video and the ability to watch it quickly, love it.

Must give this a shot when I get back! Especially if it makes YouTube that little bit better. So cluttered I find at the moment.

New? It's been there since, at the very least, 2010. But it's a nice thing for people with slower connections for sure!  ^_^

Cheers,

Linus

I believe youtube doesn't allow 1080p with dash playback disabled though :/ But I was willing to take the hit(if it's around anymore) I found it so useful

This does not really solve any problems, it just disables features which could be useful sometimes though.

this performs better than some time ago. as for the comments, good riddance,

the only thing that bugs me is that the playlists don't work.
