Haha, yeah, a part of me died inside when the reviewers are like look at how much improvement the 1080 Ti has over the 980 Ti...

 

I get that they test the cards at stock to keep things fair, but man, the reference 980 Ti is not a good indicator of how it actually runs.

 

Also it gives people the idea that the 980 Ti is much slower than it actually is. I have both cards myself...the 980 Ti is faster but runs hotter / on average uses 50-75W more power. But it renders like a monster.

this might help a bit. looks like sli might not be worth it yet. maybe after a few driver updates things might change.

1080ti yes. 1080ti SLI no. Games like Warhammer, GTA or Gears of War gets even less fps in SLI.

GTA v doesn't loose fps with sli lol ?!

Got change lying around, why not spend it by getting a pair of 1080ti in SLI.

I've seen a lot of wrong, that video is the most wrong I have ever seen. I'm pretty sure that was filmed at the white house.

i think it is most likely a driver issue. i have a 980ti sli setup, for the most part it runs great. but just cause 3 use to suck, i had to disable sli otherwise it just stuttered, thought its fine now.

 

none of you can really say for sure unless you have a 1080ti sli setup.

 

in a couple months, this video will most likely not be accurate to what 1080ti sli can accomplish (once nviidia releases some better drivers specifically for 1080ti sli)

Makes sense as my cpu had double your cores and a lower tdp 

wrecked ...
