So it's certainly no surprise that most people here are probably pc gamers and thus probably more into pc esports than that of consoles. Yeah, CoD is available on PC, and yeah the current installment in the CoD franchise is hated by a fair number of people (most of which still play the game anyways, which is just confusing). But with the MLG Atlanta event this weekend, who else watches and do you have any predictions for the event?

I hate the new CODs. The moment they added that wall running shit they lost me.

Yeah CoD doesn't hit nearly the numbers like csgo or dota2 because its not as big of a global game. That and there is currently a contract with MLG right now that actually restricts the streaming of the events. Full streams are only supposed to be available on the MLG website and a limited stream on Twitch, and yeah, before you say it, I agree, that was a stupid decision since twitch is the most popular streaming platform. The next cod game should be boots on the ground and not have any of the advanced movement systems like wallrunning in last years game and the current one.

I actually enjoyed Infinite Warfare more than I expected. But that was probably because I skipped the last 3-4 titles and the gameplay really felt fresh compared to MW3 for example.

But yea I agree - the walljumping, ground crawling and jetpacks make the game quite something different.

Personally after Advanced Warfare, I was ready for a new cod and didnt care about BOTG or Advanced movements since AW didnt have wallrunning. But after BO3, I'm ready for another boots on the ground game, even though I enjoy playing IW from a competitive perspective as weapon variants turn pubs from more relaxed matches into complete total chaos because someone has that gun that can switch between being an assault rifle and full auto akimbo shotguns with no more than a press of a button. (in case you dont know, Im referring to the epic Type 2 variant... I hate that version with a passion)

I sorta dislike MLG, I prefer ESL. And I didnt even know that CoD had a professional area, even siege's ESL tourneys are bigger than CoD

just my 2 cents. I love MW 1, 2 and 3. Hate that the intermission time is so long. I allways play hardcore and sometimes the intermission takes longer than the match itself. Even though i HATE that MW remaster can only be purchased with IW. i still did it because i got a 'great' deal for only 30 dollar. But i have not downloaded IW nor am i planning on playing it ever.. Next Cod SHOULD be boots on the ground or i am gonna seek for another game like battlefield 1.

But i like watching esports. Especially Rocket league. :) (and like playing it 2. like everyday for hours)

After Black Ops 3 they went too far. Take it back in time or how about a good ole classic modern day shooter? Why do you think MW2 and Black Ops were so popular? No ones cares about space and jet packs

COD hasnt been a good esport since CoD 2 and CoD 4 promod. the international scene was amazing for those games, both European and North American teams was just amazing. Then they destroyed it but not having a server browser and it got worse from there. Now they added some rocket jump 360 no scope with a helicopter that can drop electronic grenades bullshit.

I used to watch Black Ops 2 competitive a lot, but Ghosts was quite boring to watch so I stopped watching COD esports.. And playing COD in general myself.

I play bo3 every once in a while when I want to relax from playing OW, and then for awhile I was still playing MW2. But I would really like to see them go back to the modern shooter feel with a new one as well, I never really cared for the World Wars eras. Really IMO they needed better DLC and less games, like one every two years, and they wouldn't have gotten the players so tired of it. Like before AW everyone was wanting something "new" and then didn't like what they asked for very long
