Sony as a whole is kind of leaking money so they really can't afford to buy a multi-billion dollar company just like that. Only SCE is doing a good enough job that it keeps most of its other businesses afloat.

On the flipside, no company can simply buy Sony because Sony is a conglomerate of a wide variety of businesses. This is why you have that weird case of Sony Music Entertainment suing Sony Computer Entertainment America. SCEA used something SME owned the rights to without asking.

Sony's kinda bleeding money, and no, Nvidia would have to buy all the sections of Sony since it's spread so fucking thin.

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!

Just because a company is worth 24 billion, that doesn't mean they have that money available. For Sony to buy out Nvidia they'd need to borrow more than any lender is going to give them in their current situation.

Unlikely that Sony would buy out Nvidia as even if they had that $24b in liquid assets, that would only leave $5b in reserve. At $5b, Sony would be incredibly vulnerable to another company buying them out. Note that this is not how it would work, but also note how different the markets for Sony and Nvidia are.

Shareholders wouldnt approve a at market buyout of nvidia they have been growing INSANELY over the last two or so years and people are making huge bank on there stocks.

Sonys only benefit wouldnt make huge sense BUT they do have the cloud computing gaming and bought what was it Gaki or something for that and Nvidia could be a big help in that section. That and the PS5? could use Nvidia GPU would help them but overall it wouldnt make sense unless sony was chasing for being in new markets.

Nvidia buying sony seems more likely sucessful a Nvidia  Phone, tablets ect seems like a easier transition. They could buy only parts of sony aswell.

Anyway this was a huge speculated opinionated not true info lol

Unlikely as Playstation uses a APU and would require a complete redesign to utilize a Nvidia GPU. The delay that would result from a redesign of the APU and motherboard would set Playstation behind the timeline to compete with Xbox, which would potentially jeopardize or bankrupt the company. Keep in mind that the last console GPU made by Nvidia came out in 2006 for the PS3, the only other console GPU made by Nvidia was made in 2001 for the original Xbox. The console GPU market is relatively weak area for Nvidia, as AMD/ATI still has a controlling share of the market.

Depends on which part Sony is still very strong and growing in the Camera part of the company for example.

Ermmmmmm...a large chuck of their consumer electronics division?

Had to sell their personal computer division, their phone division is struggling...pretty badly, struggling TV division since...forever, their movie division is struggling as well due to shit movies (okay, not like consumer electronics...but was worth a mention) ect. :/
