Charger and Cables for One Plus 3t

Donut417

I know that they say cheap chargers should not be used. So I have a few questions about that. Also, I might need some more USB type C cables and want high quality.

Firstly I have an Anker Power Drive+ 1 Car Charger. I got it for free when I purchased my sister one of there Multi device chargers for Christmas. Would you consider this a fairly good car changer?

Who makes safe High quality USB Type C cables so I can charge my phone safely? I remember hearing something about some of the cheaper cables have issues.

Third, I know Charging via my computer will charge the device slower, but I assume this is safe? Only reason I ask is because when I am at school I tend to just plug my phone in to the USB port if it low on power. Im bad at charging devices.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Erm, just use the cable that came with your charger?

Or buy another one and use the cable from that??

If you dont care about dash charge, aukey from amazon makes decent c cables

Its more I have heard of shit catching fire. I like having a cable that I keep at home and one that I can leave in the car or put in my bag for school.

Cables from reputable brands won't catch fire and are properly tested to be USB-C compliant. This doesn't mean that you have to buy directly from OnePlus or the extremely expensive Belkin ones at the store though. Ones from brands like Anker, Aukey, Tronsmart, and RAVpower (among others) are plenty solid.

To be honest I was looking an Anker. They seem to have some that seem to be built with durability in mind.

Their PowerLine series of cables are apparently very robust and recommended by many for their durability. Personally I use Aukey as they're cheaper and I don't put that much physical stress on my cables.

Check out his reviews of USB Type C cables. IIRC he went through most of the ones available on Amazon and gave them either a pass or a fail. https://plus.google.com/+BensonLeung

If you already own it, use it. You won't be able to use Dash or QC, so they're all about the same.

Charging via the computer is completely safe, it just takes forever. I'd just get a cheap battery bank.
