Hello, I currently have a budget of $750 to build a PC with. I personally would prefer the build to look nicer, even if it means sacrificing a bit of hardware. I currently am looking at a darker build, blacks and grays. because this rig will be meant for gaming mainly I was thinking of using a z270/z170 board, but I am leaning more to the z270 because the designs, IMO, are better looking (with some exceptions). A GPU will not be necessary because I already have a GTX 750 from a friend who didn't need it anymore. This is the build list I have currently (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FVp8zM). I plan to buy through Amazon/Newegg/Bestbuy as well. Are there any ways I could improve the list? Thanks in advance for any suggestions you can offer.

I can suggest this to you: don't spend so much on aesthetics. You still want a computer that works, you know. Build this.

It's gonna be very difficult to play decent games at decent settings and FPS with an 750 (non Ti) I recommend saving for a better GPU

My Main Build: NZXT S340 - NZXT Kraken X31 - Crucial MX100 256GB - i5 4460 - Gigabyte Z97P D3 - Kingston HyperX Red 8GB - MSI Nvidia GTX 780 3GB - Corsair LL & HD RGB Fans, Corsair Lighting Node Pro.

is there a good reason why you picked that mobo?

edit: because of black colours , but still you can get a socket 1151 mobo for 50 euro that would get you 150 xtra for gpu or cpu

If this is about aesthetic, ditch the 212 evo and get the nicer (and better performing) Cryorig H7

Edit: Also go for at least an i5 and lose the ram. Dominators are tacky imo

I mainly play overwatch and CS:GO with lowest settings anyways for higher framerates.

I picked it because I liked the asthetics, and because I have had good experiences with asus.

Cheaper case? Why not cheaper GPU? The one I linked in my sig is fine. Also maybe 16gb of RAM?

But the B150 mobo would limit OC if I were to upgrade to an unlocked CPU right?

edit: I only play at 1080p though, so I would think the 750 is fine. overwatch isnt that demanding and neither is CS:GO.

that list does look fine, but an i7-6700K? isnt that a bit overkill for simply gaming?

looks fine, but would the RX 480 offer a lot more performance than the 750? without the RX I could fit in a more powerful CPU and more RAM. (look at deXxter's build list, although I swapped the 6700K for a 6600K)

Than a GTX 750? It's double the performance, if not more. What use do you have for a high-end CPU?

that's what I said, I switched the 6700K to a 6600K because I don't need the i7's performance. I play overwatch and CS:GO, the 6600K would be perfectly fine and I don't use a 144hz monitor so anything above 60 fps doesnt really matter. That's why I was thinking the 480 wouldn't be of that much use. and wouldn't the Pentium (I hate to say this) bottleneck the 480?

It wouldn't because this is a hyperthreaded Pentium :)

So in actuality it's an i3-6100 in disguise.

I'm not sure a GTX 750 would do 60fps overwatch. Maybe in low settings. But a mainstream GPU like the one there would definitely do it with headroom to spare. And since you still have the OC motherboard in there you can upgrade to a high-end CPU and overclock it later if you like. (I consider the i5-6600K high-end as well, because comparatively to the $75 pentium with hyper threading, it's not a good value anymore).

I always play in low settings, for the FPS gain. and the i3 is what I was originally going to use. I think this might be the list I go with. Thanks for the list! And also I would like to thank everyone for being good people and not commenting "wait for zen" :)

You should still wait for Zen anyway xD

I'm more waiting for intel prices to go down. I believe intel may still have an upper hand in the CPU game. Although if the performance is more or less the same, I'll just go for the cheaper one. Assuming zen doesn't end up with issues.
