About to order some parts to make a PC for a friend. I've built countless PCs, but I'm tired AF right now and wouldn't be surprised if I forgot something. Last time when building my mums pc I forgot to order the 16GBs of ram and her skylake build had no ram until a day later lol. This is a full build, monitor and KB/Mouse should be there, and HDD and SSD should be there along with the normal mumbo jumbo

Nope, you're good. Although I'd recommend going with the 6gb 1060/8gb 480 instead.

Have some proof to back it up then, because in all of the benchmarks I've seen the 480 4gig scores significantly lower (-10FPS) then a 3GB 1060.

The 1060 3GB is just an overclocked 1050 Ti

I wouldn't pick the 3gb 1060, my 3.5gb 970 is already struggling in some new games @ 1080p

That PSU is awfully close to being not enough wattage. I'd get at least a 500w or 550w.

Is the case cheap? I wouldn't pay extra for a window with that component selection.

I've not run into a SINGLE issue with mine...

(Even surpassing 3.5GB)

 

The core strength, I'll give you that... Its running out of legs for modern games...

But the Vram.... Never had a single inclination that its holding my games back.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

i'm pretty sure project cars doesn't consume that much vram. not that much with a full grid either

Case is cheap. and I've been running a CX500M with my rig (Overclocked 780, overclocked i5(BCLK OC) 1HDD 1 SSD AIO) So I think we should be fine
