Loading my profile takes a while, but status updates are fine

themctipers

Something that i've noticed recently, whenever I try to load my profile (doesn't matter if its via link or redirect) it takes a while to load

however, when i load something thats originating from my profile but not the profile itself (say for example a status update) it loads fine.

i had this problem on:
ubuntu w/ firefox and chromium

ios 9.3.3 with safari and chrome

ios 10.0.2 with safari

ios 9.3.2 with safari (ipad)

windows 10 with chrome

ive tried it with different networks (cellular, friends wifi) and it still has the same problem

basically, loading https://linustechtips.com/main/profile/166584-themctipers/ takes a while (around 10 seconds or so) and loading https://linustechtips.com/main/profile/166584-themctipers/?status=154932&type=status is instant

Is this while having the page cached as well?

Did you clear cache before attempting to load the page? I'm trying to see if I can repeat it.

Browsers cache pages typically while browsing the web, and hold it until it's removed using a separate cleaning program, or it's set to clear cache upon closing.

I cleared my cache for Vivaldi and the page took ~5 seconds to load.

We're aware of the issue, and it should be fixed in the next update, in the next couple of weeks.
