Install nvidia drivers without gpu

You can't. There are generic drivers windows will use until it downloads the ones from nvidia. You don't need the drivers before you intall the device.

 

If you running windows 10, just put the card in and wait a hour. It will install the drivers in the background.

Is there any way I can install nvidia drivers without having the nvidia gpu in my pc, I don't have any drivers installed right now and the only gpu that gives me any sort of image is a very old and small ATI card. I had this problem last time and I was able to some how install the drivers, and after that my r7 260x displayed everything fine. I can't access my integrated graphics cause there's something in front of it, locked by some weird kind of screw... Regardless I want my gtx 760 to work, so tl;dr how can I install nvidia graphic drivers without having an nvidia gpu inside my pc?

when you plug in your GTX 760 Windows should be able to utilize it with Generic VGA Driver, if it doesn't - it's dead

It's not dead the same goes for my r7 260x right after I uninstalled its drivers...

Aight I'll wait about an hour and check if I get any image, screen's still black rn.

If you install the GTX 760, does it display the BIOS screen or does it stay completely black regardless what you do?

can you get a picture of the weird screw blocking your integrated graphics?

How can you be sure its not dead? dead graphics cards will often have working lights and fans. If you don't get any signal, replace the gpu's thermal paste. If that doesn't work, you are probably looking at a goner.

I didn't mean it's not dead, I meant that not having a signal is actually expected at this point.

I got it to work!!!

I have never heard of no signal being "expected" on a gpu. Windows has drivers that can drive the card. The Nvidea official drivers are much better, but they are just better drivers. Any drivers including the generic windows ones will give you a signal to the screen.

So does this still work as I just built a new gaming pc https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tqBnCb but my gpu drivers are not working so half of the cost of my build isnt working Curently I have it on a black screen waiting for it to "fix itself"

It can! You can install the nVidia driver without having the graphics card.

 

I did install nvidia driver without the graphics card is installed. It works without problems.

I did that when my GPU didn't post. Then I took off the graphics card out, then connect the display cable to the motherboard port, and clean uninstall with DDU the driver and install it again that way without the graphics card. Then Install graphics card after installed the driver, works without problem
