i5 6400 or i5 6500 (Philippines)

Hi everyone. I was wondering If I should get the i5 6400 or the 6500. I researched and researched on the internet and it seems that the i5 6500 performs better because of it's base clock speed of 3.2GHz while the 6400 runs about 2.7GHz which is 500MHz slower than the 6500. So yeah the i5 6500 is better because of it's additional 500MHz speed on base clock. But I have seen prices in US that the i5 6500 costs 191dollar and here in Philippines it costs about 9800pesos and I calculated the price in pesos to usd and the result was  197dollar which is more expensive. So please help me what to buy in terms of the price to performance. Thanks :)

i7 6700k

Well the difference won't be much so getting an i5 6400 won't hurt anyone. But still a 6500 is the balanced option out there.

Thanks for the feedback dexter. So the difference of these 2 CPU's is not much of a gap. Is it ok to get an i5 6400 that costs about 171dollar in my country than an i5 6500 that costs about 197dollar?

For the difference of $26, no. Take the 6400 and put the money saved elsewhere.

What is the price difference in pesos? Here, the 6500 is a much better value than the 6400. I actually think of the 6400 as only existing for up selling. Like in the old days, how they'd have that crappy VCR that was $10 less just so they could "upsell" you on the better one. I see no point in the 6400 at it's US price point other than making customers feel better about buying the 6500.

Yes, it's 2871 as in the year 2871. I traveled all this way, back in time, just to help you. And you thought your mama lied when she said you were special-_-

I'd get the 6500. The difference between the 2 wont really be that noticeable but you will have lower minimum frame rates with the 6500 due to higher clockspeed.
