Yeah. Hitler is a fine example. 

But if you want to define a person because they're overly passionate about an election, then so be it. Personally, I don't think it makes him a bad person.

If Casey Neistat's Beme got aquired by Fox News I'm sure a lot more people will be attacking him. So CNN might not be such a bad idea after all.

I am not attacking the guy I am pointing out a misgiving on your part and how you worded your comment. What I got from from what you said is this;

He is an aggressive and overbearing person BUT hes is a great guy .... :|  reread what you wrote and get back to me.

I think you misunderstood. My example of Hitler was correlating to how you said "it takes a lifetime to build a reputation and a second to break it". 

 

Meaning, he lived a relatively influential and meaningful life up until he reigned as a harsh dictator. Sorry it was slightly off topic; I haven't slept. 

 

I don't disagree about how I worded it, I should have wrote that differently. My point is, he made a widely known mistake during the election period, but disregarding that he's a spirited guy and awesome vlogger. Your point is I could have worded that differently because it comes off as contradictory.

I watched one/two videos of his....will never watch his channel again.

I've only watch 2 vloggers in my lifetime, Ray William Johnson (till he quit when I was 12 years old), and Casey Neistat, because I liked the way he filmed them and I also love to shoot videos and pictures. Other than that, most vloggers are quite garbage. 

Space Journal #1: So Apparently i  was dropped on the moon like i'm a mars rover, in a matter of hours i have found the transformers on the dark side of the moon. Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.

My guess it that it's a package deal. Want Casey? Acquire his app. It's the same logic as to why Apple paid 3 billion for beats. They clearly just wanted the talent behind the service, Dr Dre. 

 

Last I checked, Casey had over 6 million subscribers on YouTube and his vlogs easily clocked over 1 million views in a day or two. That's a huge millennial user base just waiting to be tapped.

Precisely, they don't. The management at CNN evidently felt that Casey's subscriber base was a huge untapped viewer base. They are hoping that Casey will be able to draw this huge viewer base along with him to CNN, and gain millions of new users in the process.

 

I followed his daily Vlogs and enjoy watching them because of his entertaining  personality. If Casey is able to put his unique spin on news and make them more engaging to follow, this could appeal to a wider demographic of users who may have sworn off conventional news outlets altogether.

to actually worth the investment those two user bases need to overlap somehow

and news that get editorialized they're no longer news

You seem to be making a lot of assumptions about something that you have admitted to knowing nothing about. 

 

IMO the app is useless. They bought Casey Neistat as an asset. And him doing 2 million per video on YouTube (daily) may be worth it. You may want to go check him out before you talk out of your ass.

You might want to check out some of his videos and see for yourself. It's like 10 minutes of your time, and probably makes more sense than any of us trying to explain to you who Casey is and what he does.

yes, I wasted my time seeing one of his videos, the one with him getting a ticket for not using the occupied bike lane in NY (I think it was)

K? My point is that whether you think he's charismatic or not has nothing to do with the 'news.' I 100% agree that he is uninteresting but its no reason for me to spout it on a forum.

I think the main reason people were 'attacking' you is that you are asking why he is worth 25 mil to CNN and then refusing to accept everyone's explanations for why with "I don't care about some youtube vlogger". There is not really an answer other than that he owns an app with some millions of downloads and he makes popular video content. If you want to know more then why refuse to do any research?
