Here's Mine

as it turns out, I decided to download the valley picture (why not, its a world record man!), and for some reason the genius decided to run it through Adobe photoshop CS6 for some weird reason. I'm not saying they are hard up for money, but CS6 is from 2012 for crying out loud. I guess thats why they couldn't afford a 980.

This is bull, wrong aspect ratio for the cap and your memory clock is too low to be scoring that high regardless of core clock. Memory overclocks show greater increases for green team cards in valley than core clock overclocks

I cant stand shit like this! It doesnt contribute anything by cheating and posting fake scores.

This is the max clock for my MSI 970 4G. Just a bump of +5 on core and mem will reset the clocks to default during benchmarking.

if you overclocked it by 50mhz on the core or the memory then you would move up about 5 places :P

Skydiver single 970

Total score 29000

Graphics score 43000

According to 3DMark, a 4770K and a GTX Titan get 23,530.

I'm not too sure about your 29K.

Also considering 30K is a 980. (On hall of fame currently)

try a bit more voltage. it should blue screen the pc if its just over the limit of the gpu. you usually get a black screen and driver crash. maybe try a bit more cpu voltage

Ya so. 970 crushes alot of cards. Here ya go.  http://www.3dmark.com/sd/2385074

Lots of OC'd 970's beating titans. This is why the 970 is the best price/performance card. A OC'd 970 matches a 980. If you look through my results you will see i have multiple scores approaching 30k in Skydiver.

i dont have skype or a microphone or a camera. its actually surprising i even have the internet. if you raise the voltage a bit at a time it should be fine. you can unlock the voltage in msi afterburner by going into settings and ticking unlock voltage control

What is 3DMark reliant on? I know that Unigine is more memory speed and bandwidth.

Certain benchmarks favor certain cards.

Though in the real world. Two 760s have more processing power than a 970. And the same vRAM. Also more memory bandwidth.

Lol vram doesnt stack. You still only have 2g. Valley is more bandwidth than speed. Nvidia didnt optimize drivers for Valley. Valley isnt valid for HWbot points so competitive overclockers dont really take it into account. Heaven is a more demanding bench over Valley imo.

3Dmark is probably the most widely used benchmark. So it makes sense to optimize drivers for it.

I'm talking about the 4GB 760s... (2x 4GB Cards)

And it's speed over bandwidth with Valley.  Heaven is not free.

If it was speed Maxwell would perform a lot better than it is.

Fire Strike uses a multi-threaded DirectX 11 engine and it includes two graphics tests, a physics test and a combined test designed to stress the CPU and GPU at the same time. One of the most important features of the engine is multi-threading, but let's not forget tessellation, advanced lighting, particle illumination, particle-based distortion, depth of field, surface illumination, volumetric illumination, lens reflections, bloom and smoke simulation.

At this point the important thing is actual performance. Dual 760s compare to a OC 780 or a 780ti.

The 970 does not outperform a 780ti. And the 980, most of the time, also does not.

Just because you love Nvida and the 900 series is new, does not mean that it outperforms the 700 series no matter what.

The 970 was for price to performance while the 980 is for efficiency. Not to out preform the 700 series.

My friend has a 970 and can't run surround above 30 FPS on the same game that I can run at 54 FPS. And his is overclocked. Mine are base.

This says it is better! http://www.anandtech.com/show/8568/the-geforce-gtx-970-review-feat-evga/4

Pretty good source. For a new card on young drivers and not benched at 1500Mhz which 90% can run at, it is still winning.

We should take this to PM instead of spamming the Valley thread. If you want to discuss it further send me a message.
