welcome to the forum   :). can you post the core and memory clocks as well please.

date as soon as i get chance. i'm benching at the moment. :)

Ya, its my 280.

i need to run the stress again to get the temp, dont remember but i know it was pretty good

any suggestions to get this thing faster?

you can't do anything unless you flash the bios to an unlocked 7950 bios :(

CPU: i5 4430

GPU: r9 270x at 1280/1555

Average FPS: 37.9

Score: 1587

Setting: Extreme HD

I'm pretty happy with this score, the clocks were pretty high and the temps only hit about 70.  I may try and push the voltage a bit farther to see if i can't get 1300 on the core but in order to do that I'd probably have to up the voltage to dangerous levels, and the heat may start to throttle the card.

that is a really good clock for a 270x/7870 if you can get it to 1300 it will be one of the fastest i've seen on air :)

After some more tweaking I did manage to get 1315 on the core and 1585 on the memory, the temps were starting to hit levels i didn't like, so I don't think I'll be pushing it any farther short of water cooling it.

The temps tend to average around 72 with the highest I've seen being 75.  Since the card sits around the high 50's normally that's more then i want to see.

yeah, but not by much. you normally get an extra 5-10points at best out of a decent cpu.

the is a really high overclock. the card would be fine upto 80c

I just took a look at the Overclock.net list and it seems I'm only ~ 70 points away from having the top 7870/270(x), since I have Sunday off I may try and push it just a bit more and see if I can't take the lead.

Trading in the 3 770s for a couple gtx 780s. I'm interested to see if the are about even. I'm be buying a 3rd 780 when the 970 and 980 drop and everything else drops a little in price.

CPU: i7 4790k @ 4.4ghz

GPU: R9 290x Lightning 1200 / 1600

FPS: 72.6

Score:3039

When I get my watercooling loop done, I'll get fastest 290x on LTT, I promise, I'll also shoot for over 5 ghz on my 4790k.  I managed 5 ghz for a short amount of time on my 212 evo, but it gets way to hot and I think that effects stability to an extent.  When I get my custom loop I'll try for 5 or 5.1 on my CPU.

After my custom loop is done, expect a 1300+ / 1700 run with a 5ghz 4790k if I can do it!

its a shame you can't overclock your cpu otherwise you could get 10 of those points without touching the gpu clock

that will be interesting. lets hope they all oc well. its going to be tricky to get 3 cards to run at high speed.

It may be dependent on how far I can get the vram I think.  It seems that Valley prefers VRAM speed over core speed.

I'll do some overclocking tonight and see if I can do a run on the LN2 bios I flashed with 1250 + 1700 and 4.9 ghz on the 4790k since I can't get 5 stable on my 212 evo

That should get me to ~75-80 fps I think?

someone got over 75fps@1295/1585 so i dont see why not. under water you should be looking at this kind of clock http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/4014050 or maybe even http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/4020888 :P. Memory is not as important on amd cards i don't think because the bus is 512bit

Oh wait someone got 78.8 fps, why isn't it in the single GPU scores?

His name is paulenski, rank #74 on the main page

I was able to bench at 1650 mhz on the memory already, so if my core clock goes to 1350  under water, I may be able to get ~1700 or more on the memory, that'd be sweet.

Maybe I can get up to 85 FPS with a 1350 / 1700 bench at 5 ghz on my 4790k?

hmmm. you have to murder your card to get in the top spots. you'll have to see how well it scales at higher voltage once its underwater.

My other 760 is in for an RMA and I got bored so I did a single card run. Ignore the 610, it's just there to drive monitors.
