I currently have a Qnix 144hz monitor and want to run a dual monitor setup one running in 4k and one at 144hz so that i use one or the other depending on the situation. My problem is that idk if my pc will be able to run the monitor, Below is the link to a part list which is what my pc has on it currently and to the monitor I am planning to buy. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/KXfjmG,http://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-23-6-ips-led-4k-uhd-monitor-black/5386146.p?skuId=5386146&productCategoryId=pcmcat374100050017. If by "run" you mean play 4k videos and display web pages and documents, yeah.

If you mean play games like minesweeper and minecraft, sure.

If you mean play games like GTAV and crysis at high settings then nope.

Your GPU isn't strong enough for 2160@60. I'd wait for a GPU upgrade before venturing into the higher resolutions.

I7 6700k and  gtx 1080

for 4k stable 60fps you need literally the BEST stuff currently available. On ultra settings to get a sable 60 fps you would need TWO 1080s

What you have listed atm will probably not even run 1080p on ultra or high at a stable 60 fps, forget 1440p or 4k

What you have listed is a 500$ computer gaming on 4k means about a 2000$-3000$ computer

You want at least an i5, preferably i7, and at least a GTX1070 if you want to play at medium/high settings 60fps.

You need a 1080 or more for ultra.

1080 is not enough for ultra only for high you need TWO 1080s for ultra, unless constantly going between 35-60 fps is acceptable

Well, ultra with no AA is alright for every game except the most intensive of games such as crysis or gta or whatever.

1080 is capable of getting more than 90hz for 5760x1080 (6220800 pixels) on almost every game on Ultra vs 3840x2160 (8294400). Lowering AA (which you don't need at 2160) by one step is enough to get the 1080 to hit 60hz minimum.

Don't concede, dammit.

You might be able to play with an i3 for 30-60hz, but I'd suggest an i5 and a 1080 for good quality at 60hz since we're still not at the point of good enough performance.
