Sony trying to stop nude images from Beyond: Two Souls

Following a leak of images showing a nude version of Ellen Page's character in Beyond: Two Souls, Sony has reportedly begun requesting that websites remove any content related to the images.

The images first showed up on Reddit earlier this month, but the original imgur album containing them has since been emptied. Page's character, Jodie Holmes, takes a shower at one point in the game, though no nudity can be seen when the game is played. However, according to Kotaku, alternate camera angles of the scene can be accessed through the game's debug menu -- something which can't be reached through normal play on a regular PlayStation 3 system.

"The images are from an illegally hacked console and is very damaging for Ellen Page. It’s not actually her body. I would really appreciate if you can take the story down to end the cycle of discussion around this."

Well, they have the right to stop it. If it wasn't part of the game and could only be accessed through a developer mode, on a hacked console with custom firmware

 

Also from the looks of it it seems to be a cut part of the game, so it wasn't intended for the final consumer.

It's absurd that there is an issue with the ability to see the character nude. They specifically designed her to look that way, had they really not wanted her to be seen nude, the designers would not have made her THAT detailed.

It could have been a scrapped scene, sort of like the deleted scenes in movies.

 

Although technically in a game a character model is naked to begin with, devs. later add clothes skin color, etc. Although in this case I think the devs. may have taken it a little to far.

Wow you guys are suprising me. You're missing the part were this characters bodied was modeled it after a real person who did NOT give the developers permission to display her nude in the game. It's her body, if she doesn't want it being seen in this way, and made no agreement for it to be seen in this way, then she has ever right to demand it be taken down and the game be patched to fix this immediately.
