I guess something to do with optimizations for taking advantage on high speed memory for APUs, but somehow leveraging that for GPUs could be a factor?

very odd

ram speeds almost never had an effect on gaming

 

now with new game engines we see that ram has an effect and possibly could be a bottle neck

 

good thing that ddr4 is right around the corner :)

Why? you don t trust that corsair could objectively benchmark their products and in no way sugar coat it to sell more products?

i wouldn t either, i don t see why all games ever made never benefitted from fast ram, but sudently bf4 does, when ram price is at its peak.

it s possible, but i agree you should never trust everything someone, who s trying to sell you somethinh, says.

I'm guessing since the PS4 are using DDR5 memory that they ported over the optimization for the higher speed RAM to the PC version perhaps?

Wow having around 10FPS increase from 1600 to 2400 is alot imo. Guess time to overclock my ram in order to get better fps in BF4. :)

is the raster ram and boost in performance only pertinent to haswell cpu or will it have the same effect with ivy? (3570k) Can Ivy utilize faster ram speeds like haswell.. i know 3570k would be able to support it, but jw?

Weird cuz 2400mhz ram from G. skill is as much as 1600mhz from Corsair in a 2x8gb pack...I will upgrade to faster and more ram once I sell mine

Wow it seems like my 1600mhz kit will be outdated long before I expected, especially with recommended specs of aome new games at 8gb. Still I'd rather look at some benchmarks which don't come from someone who manufactures memory.
