Note7 support on Gear VR dropped

Oculus is removing support for all Note7 devices on the Oculus platform. Until further notice, Note7 devices will not be compatible with the Gear VR.

Samsung Note7 has recently been in the headlines for overheating and even exploding. Now it seems that Oculus wants to prevent any possible liabilities on Note 7 exploding while using Oculus' Gear VR headset.

I have to agree with Samsungs orginal press release... Phone exploding middle of shooter game would be ultra-immersive experience, but maybe not what I would be looking forward to.
