Corsair RMx is quieter, EVGA G2 has marginally better electrical performance.

I personally prefer the EVGA G2.

But they are both very good. Both on the tier 1 list.

So get the one which is cheaper?

It's a matter of which specific model you are talking about; however, I wouldn't just get any EVGA / Seasonic unit.

It seem that in Germany the 550G2 is a little over €100: http://geizhals.eu/evga-supernova-g2-650-650w-atx-2-3-220-g2-0650-y3-a1284030.html

While the Corsair RM550x is €90. http://geizhals.eu/corsair-rmx-series-rm550x-550w-atx-2-4-cp-9020090-eu-a1331023.html

I would get the Corsair RM550x as it offer comparable performance, a 10 year warranty (the lower wattage G2 are 7 years - not 10 years like the 750+ models), and a more quiet operation for less money. Also, since Corsair has their own standardized pin-out, if you ever replace your PSU with another Corsair for whatever reason (or just have a spare for troubleshooting), the cables would still work

Your link to the EVGA G2 is a 650w version.

That's odd. I guess I had an old search instance on the 650G2, as my recent search history shows the 550w model. lol  I still would recommend the Corsair RM550x, as it is still cheaper than the 550wG2 € 5 cheaper. http://geizhals.eu/evga-supernova-g2-550-550w-atx-2-3-220-g2-0550-y3-a1297440.html

Either one would be fine though.

pretty much any seasonic and most of evga as listed above, you can get a 10 warranty with evga, a whole decade. only a few companies manufacture psu's most are rebranded.
