Well this is the quietest this forum has ever been since I've signed up in 2015...can't believe it's not being spammed by people needing help with a suggestion for a budget build or some type of computer problem...or a RX480 vs 1060 thread ;-;

I had to disable javascript on the LTT domain simply to be able to type a reply, so there's an answer.

Well, with the forum in its current state of bugs with delay on posting and viewing topics, then throw ontop of it a giveaway DURING pax, and you end up with like a worst case scenario where the forum was just down for a whole day; that would turn a good number of people off of the idea of asking for help here.

But on the bottom end, LTT gets a total # of member uplift, plus the "hit counter" to market to whomever.

Plus some content added, whatever that may be, useful or not.

 

I'd bet since the 2 are hand-in-hand, its costing Linus very little to nothing, and costing Razor minimally.

So another week left, I will see what the count is for entree's every so often. Good odds!

I'm not pointing at you...you made that account almost a year ago so...you know...I mean the people who just created an account in the past 2 days and have less than 10 posts...I just feel like people should stop COMPLAINING WHEN THEY ARE ENTERING A  FUCKING GIVEAWAY!

Relax, even if you were pointing at me, I wouldn't be mad - it's true, my first post in this forum was for the giveaway - I'm greedy and selfish, for reasons outlined in that very post. And I don't feel like I deserve any more consideration just because I joined back in '15. So I get your protest - I'd be saying the same in your position.
A lot of those people that came, will probably go away just as fast. But I'm sure the forum will retain some awesome new members (and yes, maybe some less-so ones), so the forum might just be even better than before after this whole thing goes away. I'm betting LMG was counting on that too. You'll get your smaller-but-cosy community back pretty soon.
