So I have only run a couple games so far. Ones that I remember testing before and I'm shocked. If you have bad eyes and take your glasses off it's like putting them on after a year without them. It's like what app for that said. Everything is clearer and shit just looks better. Shadows aren't screwed up, buildings don't have lines, there isn't a LOD box that follows you. I will post pics and videos as soon as I can. But trust me it's big. I can also see where some are getting confused with just how the game is and the problems. It's looking promising!!!!

So after I test the test or the games I saw the issue I am going to move it to another car with a different PSU and make sure everything is still good. Then I'm going to "age" the system. Allow windows updates and just let it be for a month while checking every day to see if anything changes. I am also going to swap to a 7950 and see if anything happens.

Try using the same hard drive that you used in the Ryzen PC in your personal rig. If it is a software issue, the issue should disappear.;)

HTML5 on youtube has no AA filters AFAIK. I could clearly see the aliasing on the TW2 vid and and shimmering on the BF1 vid on 720p, so no problems there.

Anti-Aliasing problem is not great visible here (maybe on ropes), but broken shadows are.

I'll do a quick analysis on what's going on in The Witcher 2 case.

Let's get into it!
First of all, your game obviously has mods in it, here is a screenshot of the vanilla game vs your game.

This mod introduces some interesting lightning, which of course is not included in the base game. This brings a whole plethora of issues, such as the shadow issues you can see and the specular aliasing.
Mod says you are using SMAA + FXAA which are post processing filters. What you are seeing is mainly specular aliasing and some standard aliasing(on the ropes) that I explained in my last post.
Unfortunately SMAA and FXAA are not designed to tackle these. Ubersampling in TW2 is badly implemented aswell and very performance heavy, but AFAIK it still doesn't handle the specular aliasing. TW2 is an older game and doesn't have the TAA you may be used to in newer games. Your best bet in this case is downsampling if your system can manage it or try out the last tweak that I sent you, if your ultra settings are bugged by any chance. I actually have TW2 installed right now, ubersampling + allowsharpen set to 0 in the User.ini and ubersampling=enabled takes care of everything but the specular aliasing, if you disable ubersampling and 4k DSR, most aliasing gets taken care of.

For some additional info for this matter: at the moment the methods to tackle specular aliasing that I personally used in UE4 are using a normal map and a roughness map. UE4 generates the mipmaps for you that completely solve it. Playdead used their temporal AA in INSIDE and most newer games solve it with that. Older games basically made their models around this or had some custom built in solution.
There's a few more known methods for those interested, such as LEAN mapping and CLEAN mapping.

Here's a great recording that demonstrates specular aliasing!
On the top of my head a game that suffers with this is Far Cry 3, although it isn't as bad as the video example, but the in-game MSAA handled everything apart from this.(I played the game when it first came out so it's still kind of foggy in my memory, but I think this was the case)

 

 

Here's a recording of a custom made game engine that demonstrates solving specular aliasing with TAA.(around 1:50)
Notice how MSAA doesn't tackle this in the engine, this is one of the base reasons why GTA 5's(and frankly, a lot of bad games that I haven't played probably) engine is badly made. 
Games like The Witness that use MSAA as their main method on the other hand, avoid specular aliasing by using different methods by generating alpha mipmaps (source: http://the-witness.net/news/2010/09/computing-alpha-mipmaps). It definitely has the best graphics I've seen in games so far, without having the need to use TAA to trick you into believing that it has great graphics.



CDPR didn't do a very good job with the in-game Witcher 3 AA either as it was a very sophisticated game, I've read that there were some engine limitations. Most of the people I know used DSR for the game, haven't played it myself, but I saw some gameplay. Ironically, Witcher 1's AA was great, actually Witcher 1 was so good that I don't even remember if I even had to use the in-game AA. Fallout New Vegas is a great example where specular aliasing is countered great by having its own specular pass, the MSAA takes care of everything else flawlessly.

This is not ridiculous, CPU north bridge, or something else, can't remember, is a part who take care about PCIe...

So if it does bullshit at this time, it can affect the graphism.

I would just like to point something out that doesn't really make sense, you mention that he's not experiencing these problems in the Tekken video, yet if you observe around 3:17 for example, you can clearly see specular aliasing on those planks in the background that are being caused by the light of the fire. Also observe the "window" in the background and the edges of the walls. My last post explains more or less what is going on. There's a lot of more examples of the same type of aliasing on the characters that you can see while in close up, such as 4:26(notice the collar part of the outfit displaying clear signs of jagged edges). Am I missing something or do some of you have a different sort of an issue?

I don't claim to be experiencing the issues in question, but I'm curious what you think of Rise of the Tomb Raider and it's seemingly useless AA settings. I made a video about it shortly after buying and playing the game back when it released. The game looks noticeably worse using any form of SSAA and much better with FXAA. Keep your eyes on the icicles and edge of the rock on the right: 

I found to get the best balance of image quality and performance in this game was to run it at 1440p with DSR (on a 1080p display) at very high settings with FXAA, on a GTX 1070. At 1080p native, there was just no other way to "smooth out" the image beyond what FXAA does. 

 

Just goes to show that some games have blatant graphical issues - many of which are never resolved. You'd think during development they would sort these things out...

BuckGup just tryed Ryzen and it looks it is working very well to solve our troubles.

But they continue!


And he changed MB and Ryzen. I allready changed 3 times MB, but i kept once same CPU and once another from the same manufacturer... It let... Ryzen as key change... TAADDAAAAA!

So it seems, Ryzen may be a solution to this issue, but we shouldn't get too hasty just yet. 

 

More testing needs to be done to be sure. If I had the money, I would build a Ryzen system as well and compare it to my i7 system, just to see if there's a difference. 


We need to find out if it's repeatable (if other people also see a difference) and if it's a permanent solution. 

 

And then there's the question of why? Why or how is it that Ryzen makes any difference in visual quality? The GPU is solely responsible for the image you see. It doesn't make sense, but lets see where this goes...

After hours of searching on the web for our trouble, i can say no, it is not.

Some parts one MB and CPU (if i remember it correctly: the famous Northbridge) are in direct relation with GPU. So they can affect it.
