Any way i can block people on my wifi network

Well ik people are using my wifi. My passwords spread without my control. so is there some way i can block people out of it. 

 

(cant change the password)

You could setup a white list of MAC addresses you know you want allowed and that will block everyone else from using it.

any app i can do this. i tred to do it on my router, fucked it up

If you really want to do more advanced things just slap DD WRT on it and you can have so many more options. I use it to throttle others when they download or stream a video with QoS. I also have it shut off in the night and every so often check for an update and restart.

you'll have to do it at the router level unless you route all traffic through a switch and then through your PC before going to the router.

I was gonna say just change the password but... Is getting a new router an option? Most of the things that can block mac addresses require the same sort of access to the router that changing the password does. Some routers even have it built into their settings.

I am a paid professional, but only when I am at work...and getting paid.

Is there a particular reason that changing the password isn't an option? This would be the most obvious go-to which would rectify the issue quickly. 

 

If you go a route looking for a new device as mentioned, you could also just DISABLE wireless on the EXISTING device, and add a Access Point. This is essentially what I have done at home with a Ubiquiti UAP-LR unit I got a few years ago. This AP can broadcast 3 SSID's, all of which I am using currently. I have one SSID for Internet of Things devices, only I have this password, our MAIN SSID which is hidden (not hidden for security, more to offer less choices for guests. Has GUEST right in their SSID, and they manage not to choose it most of the time as is) for our personal devices, laptops, phones, etc. and a guest SSID with a password that changes time to time.

Change the password. Stop broadcasting the SSID and change the SSID. This way you need to know the network name and password to get connected. 

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
