RX 480 loses quite a lot to GTX 1060.

Tom Hanks

Only title the RX 480 wins is Hitman.

With this you get what you pay for, RX 480 remains the Price/Perf king but only by a small amount.

Do note however that they used the founders edition prices. On best buy there are gtx 1060s which cost 249$.

I knew this was going to happen too, so the 1060 along with the 1070 are now the price/performance kings xD

Looks that way.

I see me buying a 1060 now over the RX 480, it's considerably faster, uses less power, costs the same.

The 480 is the p/p king still. It was only a .30 difference in 1 game. It was 2-3 in all the others

The 1060 is 10% faster but costs more. Exactly what we expected. And lacks the hardware support for A-sync under DX12/Vulkan where it loses

Nvidia bois celebrating too quickly :)

Price to performance should be done with the most expensive or cheapest ATM so it's $200 vs $250 or $230 vs $300 soo...it's like even? ;)

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Pretty much what I expected based on the press. A bit faster than the 480, and Nvidia will price a bit higher as well.

This graph seems to indicate that ROTR and Hitman were not used in DX12 for the review?

Isn't that a bit unfair to AMD? Having no modern API games, considering there are many games out now with new gen APIs.

Well 1070 is price/performance king regardless but you can expect those price to drop and even at the same pricing the 1060 still seems to be the better buy.

do note that the 300$ does not offer more vram. It's literally the same card just with a reference cooler and a 50$ price tag added to it. So the 249$ cards are basically the same gpu with the same amount of ram and well cheaper.

4GB vs 6GB, are you this blind? i think it's done purposely though in every thread.

Also AIB vs stock.

compare cheapest to cheapest or most expensive to most expensive. Else it's a moot point

Well then, lets use referance cards then. 6GB vs 4GB is closer than 6 vs 8 performance wise. $200 vs $300. That's a 50% price hike. Hmmm.

Well 1060 is faster by a good amount, has 2GB extra Vram vs 4GB, uses less power, more efficient.

AIB cards costing the same as the 8GB reference RX 480 which cannot OC well at all.
