Is it still wort it to get a iphone 5c?

so my budget is $100 or so, and my friend has a iphone 5c, yellow. the screen is slightly broken, and i know how to fix it. it will cost me $55 or so to fix it, and theyre selling it for $45. thats a total of $100 on the button. is $100 good for a iphone 5c? its in pretty good condition, except for the screen. No sure if its 16 or 32 gb though

Thanks

Try the iPhone 5c and see if you'd like it as a daily driver. I hate small phones, so the 4-inch 21:9 weird resolution won't cut it for me.

I used to be quite active here.

If you'll have to spend $100 or so for a less-than-factory 5c, I'd just skip it.

I wouldn't buy it. I would regret the decision and buy a better phone later. But I'm not you, so..

Those are aids, unless Op knows how to flash a custom ROM.

Why? The lockscreen ads take the form of a lockscreen notification that requires two clicks to open and disappears after the phone is unlocked.

Do whatever you want but don't fix the screen. Fixing the screen on such an old iPhone isn't worth it.

If you like iOS, go for it.

If you like Android, I'd recommend the Moto G or the Honor phones that Newegg was showing a couple of months back.

I have been using iPhones since iPhone 4 came out.

However I think that iPhone 5c is not worth it, however you can give it a try, if you are on a tight budget.

Because you gotta tell me what version of IOS it is running.

I think that you better run that thing on IOS6, or 7. Nothing newer.

The latter the OS is, the more laggy your phone is.

After apple changes the OS to modern UI, aka IOS7 and above, it raises requirement on the hardware, before that even a trash can can run IOS.

I think if you wanna try IOS then you should go for it, however if you wanna try android, try buy a used Nexus 5 or the nexus that was made by moto.

Those android devices are running stock Android. You don't want a phone that is made by 3rd party, personally I think those phones are garbage.

If it is not broken, let's fix till it is.

Find out if it's 32GB. If it is then I would say buy it. Otherwise I would suggest trying to find another phone.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

The phone is really low end, so it wont run that well on normal android.

At least 5s....

5c is a relabled 5 with not much storage, except you buy a bigger one.

That's 4 Year old hardware.

I would not take that. Even for Apple, that's almost "end-of-life", and won't be supported for long.
