I just tried 4.7Ghz @ 1.35v, 4.5Ghz Uncore @ 1.3 and I boosted the GPU clock & mem clock a bit aswell, trying to get slightly better scores. Although I don't know if the 4.7Ghz clock is 100% stable, I also don't plan on testing that as I don't feel to comfy running at that voltage on such a new chip [ :P] . Mainly trying to stay at 1.3 or below.

Update to the above bench - OCed the RAM

 

Been trying to learn more about ddr4 ocing and it's been going great so far. Managed to OC the 2400 15-15-15-35 2t 1.2v rated kit to 3000 15-15-15-40-1T @ 1.36v(safe voltage for DDR4). The kit passed 500% HCI memtest which is considered stable :). All changes are made in the BIOS btw, Memtweakit is just open to show the timings ^^

 

Current settings;

CPU 4.7 at 1.35

Cache 4.5 at 1.3

RAM at 3000Mhz 15-15-15-40-1T 1.36v on 100BCLK

*Edit: And the VCCSA is at 1.05v

that is a very nice ram oc. 600mhz extra is very very good, especially at the same timings.

holy fuck. my first watercooling loop ever and my 4790k at 4.7 GHz 1.34 V maxes out temperatures at around 71. FANS ARE AT FUCKING 250 RPM

 

probably gonna try cinebench if im gonna get cool scores

well i know why i've been struggling to get cpu's stable with over 1.7v now. i did some voltage test on this celeron and at 1.6v it was idling at 40c, 1.65v 55c, 1.7v 75c and 1.85v it was idling at 98c. lol. it would seem the thermalright silver arrow isn't the best cooler for 775. it is a very small chip and half the heatpipes don't even go over the cpu tbh. the heatsink was stone cold whent he cpu was at 98c as well. the middle heatpipes were warm to touch but not mega hot.

That contact plate looks massive. Like you said, It must be too big for a 775. They are tiny little CPUs.

its designed for 2011, hence the rectangle shape. it seems to cool 1155 and 1150 ok though.

first run with the e8400, didn't even bother with stock, went straight in at 3.6ghz on 1.4v. 198cb.  :D

the one thats currently on the speadsheet, yes. i've matched it with an E5300 and beaten it with an E6500 and my E8400 just now.
