Oh my. Never again. I think my UP7 may have winced a bit at the black and orange one.

I've been high but not lets make a weird motherboard high.

If nothing else I am buying the boards to practice removing the socket. I have only tried one socket removal so far it went fairly good but I only was able to remove 85% of it without damage the other 15% cause damage to the on board pads.

you should remove all the ram slots, paint them and then put them back in to prove linus wrong :P

Linus made the right decision by not removing RAM slots and PCI E slots. By doing that you are just asking for trouble and on that board I wouldn't risk it. I do think however he could have done a better job at isolating the contact points so he didn't paint all over them but I think he did pretty good at getting her all working after

i know i was joking :P. the margin for error on those ddr4 slots will be tiny because of the number of pins they have and it doesn't help that there would be 8 of them.

new score 8350 @5.11 score 823 single 123

it does not want to do anymore than that

LTNmwkm.png

It starts getting tricky above 5.1Ghz. And the voltages become very important in that speed range.

You could try and bump the RAM speed up a bit.

It takes about 100mhz to get 10 points. So you need about 200mhz of core speed to get close.

Ram speed does help but latency is also very important.

One of the guys at Overclockers asked which chips were on them and it turns out my Trident Xs are Samsung.

Since they come with some killer clocks from the factory i wouldn't be surprised.

I'd love to try and get that 2760 clock but i don't know how the IMC is like in the 3570K. Maybe overvolting helps maybe it doesn't

Add .025V to the ram voltage.

Try 2400 10-12-12-31 2T with Back Cycle Time tRC at 43

You can also try the Proc. ODT and set it to 120Ohms.
