Best USB Wifi adapter

IcyLetters

So i'm pretty sure my current wifi adapter that uses a pci-e lane is going to shit... so I want to get a new adapter but I would like it to be usb based because I heard that usb ones are a lot better than pci based adapters. I have about 20 bucks to put towards this atm but I could wait a bit to have a bigger budget.

Note: I am using a Desktop PC for gaming so I want the latency to be the lowest it can be.

PCI adapters are better. Who ever told you different is an idiot. Ive never had luck with USB adapters. I know Gigabyte has some nice PCI express adapters.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

I think I might go with this https://www.amazon.com/TP-LINK-450Mbps-Wireless-Express-TL-WDN4800/dp/B007GMPZ0A?ie=UTF8&tag=pcpapi-20. The reviews seem good and it is currently cheaper than a Gigabyte card on amazon

have you considered not using any kind of wifi and just using a cable instead?

Cable isn't really an option for me :(. The router is downstairs and it uses Coax instead of Phone Jacks. For some reason years ago they were reinstalling the gas lines to all the houses in my area and if you didn't have Ethernet already they cut your lines, which is complete bullshit.

The router itself outputs coax and not ethernet? I've never heard a router or any switch for that matter that outputs to coax.

They can be good, just good ones are really expensive.

I actually do not agree with most of you :)

I have recently bought a few of these: http://www.edimax.com/edimax/merchandise/merchandise_detail/data/edimax/au/wireless_adapters_ac600_dual-band/ew-7811usc/

They work really well and is supported by Windows, OSx and Linux.

This is a speedtest done on WiFi on a 50/10 Mbit VDSL connection:
